APPLICATION FEE: A $200 application fee is due at the time
you send your application to us. This includes your banner,
acceptance package information plus information you will receive
throughout the year This money is non-refundable and
non-transferable.
ENTRY FEE: The ENTRY FEE is $495. A Payment Schedule may be
set for your convenience. Check, money order, cashier check, or
PayPal is accepted. All fees are non-refundable and
non-transferable. The Entry Fee includes: DVD and Photo Package
(valued at $150), use of Swimsuit cover-up, food, and Delegate/
VIP Reception.
OPENING NUMBER DRESS: TBD
SWIMSUIT: You may wear a one or two piece, in Red. Wraps
are provided. Shoes should be clear or the color of your skin.
Judging is 25% of your total scoring, it is determined on figure,
fitness, posture, grace, elegance, beauty, and confidence. During
your year as a state titleholder, your schedule will be very
demanding, being physically fit is an important part of the
competition. Try to take 15 minutes out of your day to do
something physical, even if it is taking the stairs instead of the
elevator.
EVENING GOWN: Floor length gown any color any style. This
is 25% of your score and is based on your poise, posture, grace,
elegance and overall look, how well your carry yourself, as well
as, how well your choice of gown compliments you.
INTERVIEW: Interview suit (May be a pantsuit or skirt suit)
or nice business style dress. 50% of your score is based on how
well you show the judges your ability to articulate, show
confidence, as well as your overall personality and appearance.
TICKETS: Tickets are $35. Everyone will receive the
official Mrs. Kentucky Program Book with the purchase of their
ticket. Husbands will receive a free ticket.
ADVERTISING: Advertising is required. Information will be
provided in the Mrs. Kentucky Official acceptance package.
LOCATION: THE BOMHARD THEATER -- There truly is not a bad
seat in the house at the Bomhard. This theater is small enough to
remain comfortable yet large enough to stage a beautiful event.
Located in the Kentucky Center for the Arts, this theater is
completely handicapped accessible. Plush theater seating and state
of the art sound and lighting will provide Mrs. Kentucky a venue
everyone will love!
HOTEL: GALT HOUSE HOTEL AND SUITES: Rates to be announced.
All deleagtes are required to stay and Friday and Saturday night,
Sunday is optional.
HAIR AND MAKE-UP: Hair and makeup artist will be allowed in
the backstage area. The cost is $50/person for a backstage pass.
LET’S GET STARTED WITH PHOTOGRAPHS ……First things first, you
will need a professional photograph, for the judges page and
program. Don’t worry about the snapshot that you may have sent in
with your initial application. Your snapshot will be returned to
you, but it will not be used for publication purposes. A
professional photographer/makeup artist team will be available at
least one weekend before the pageant. Those dates will be
announced.
WORKSHOP: The 5th annual Mrs. Kentucky Workshop, held in
Lexington at Miss Priss, available to all registered contestants.
The date is Sunday, March 21. This workshop is not mandatory but
it will only benefit you, the contestant. We cover, interview,
dressing your body, stage presence and more. The cost is $50 and
includes lunch. Reservations must be made and fee paid by March
10.
